PTFE Based Materials

PTFE-based materials are able to withstand significantly more aggressive chemical environments (including highly oxidizing environments) than standard non-asbestos gasket materials. However their temperature, pressure and mechanical performance is inferior to standard non-asbestos gasket materials. Metal inserted and expanded PTFE are able to operate at higher pressures.

Economy Expansion Joints

Our most economical full-pressure joint. A molded joint with 1 through 4 arches and large movement per arch. Arches may be filled or unfilled. Sizes from 11/2 in. to 24 in. Standard 150# ASA drilling. Up to 400F operating temperature depending on material. Up to 150 psi working pressure depending on size. Vacuum rating up to 25 in. Hg depending on size. The following table covers our single arch economy joint in sizes 11/2 in. through 12 in.

Premium Expansion Joints

A very versatile, robust, hand-made joint available with 1 through 4 arches. Arches may be filled or unfilled. Sizes from 1/2 in. to 144 in. with custom face-to-face distances. Available with any drilling configuration. Up to 400F operating temperature depending upon material. Standard working pressures to 250 psi depending on size (higher pressures available). Vacuum rating up to 30 in. Hg for all sizes. Also available PTFE-lined for aggressive chemical environments. The following table covers our single arch premium joint in sizes 2 in. through 12 in.

For greater movement call about our multiple arch joints. Larger sizes, higher working pressure, custom face-to-face distances and PTFE lining available.
